Since partnering with the Princess of Wales Hospital’s Children’s Ward in Bridgend in 2013, Sony UK TEC has raised over £280,000 for the Children’s Ward, actively participating in refurbishments and donating essential medical equipment. We remain committed to orchestrating diverse fundraising initiatives internally and within our local community.
Most recently, 60 of our Team Players ook part in a 30-mile charity walk from Llangennith to Mumbles raising over £7,500 thanks to the generosity of supporters and our event sponsors Advanced Manufacturing Services Limited, Rebound Electronics, Merlin PCB Group, Fineline Var Ltd, Zenith Print & Packaging Ltd & Future Electronics.
We also raised £4,000 at our annual Charity Football Day, which took place on Friday 3rd May. Partnering with Cardiff City Stadium, Team Players formed Swansea and Cardiff teams to compete in the match, with the event’s proceeds going towards supporting the cause. The football match concluded with an exhilarating 2-2 draw at the final whistle.
Looking forward, our CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) team is excited to coordinate our upcoming annual Charity Golf Day in September at the Celtic Manor Resort from which the hospital will receive further donations.
